Avoid this practice at all costs. Their online system is completely useless - I spoke to a live agent about needing a new provider for an annual visit as my previous provider with their practice went to "signature care" i.e. charge you $2000+ a year for the privilege of being a patient. They scheduled me and confirmed the visit only to call days before the visit to cancel saying "that provider is not taking new patients." The office couldn't understand how the appointment was able to be booked by one of their own schedulers. No doctor you want to see is taking new patients, despite their own website listing every physician under the "accepting new patients filter" Just an all around mess of a practice.

BSW does not have a designated Geriatric Clinic on site here any longer; it was moved to fringes of Frisco. Therefore, if one is beyond age 70, care of these patients lack adequate service to meet their special needs. There is no clinic designated for Geriatric care at the Plano facility located at Alliance Blvd, in Plano.

Whenever I’m sent to Question they never have the orders and I spend 2 days calling DDA to get them sent. Need a hard copy to take with me!

They have huge issues with scheduling and referrals. Referrals are now taking 3 weeks to go through. Have been with this practice for over 6 months and it has been extremely challenging. They are trying to fix the referral issue but it is just getting worse. It’s really too bad because the staff and or personnel are really trying hard.

Scheduling is literally months out just to see your doctor.

Added 7/3/23: And to further prove their incompetence they have that bot setup to respond to feedback. I clicked the link filled it out and they still never responded to my issues. Would definitely stay away from any Baylor facilities.

I’ve been going to Dr. Namburi for yeaaars. I started seeing her in 2016, and my parents were seeing her even before I was. I always look forward to our appointments even though I know she’ll get onto me about my bad health habits ? It’s wonderful having a doctor that really cares and takes my concerns seriously.

There does seem to be a bit of turnover around the admin assistants, phlebotomists, CMAs etc.—so I do end up seeing different people every 4ish months But they’re all pretty nice.

I'm a longtime patient at DDA Plano, and in the past the service was good and I could always get in to see my doctor for appts, or at least some doctor same-day when I was ill.

NOW, however, you can't even reach them by phone to MAKE an appointment. Today I've been waiting on the phone for 25min!!
I would avoid this practice if you actually want to have any kind of communication with your doctor.

When I finally got through, they claimed that HALF their staff was out for training! What kind of practice manager takes out that much capacity without expecting it to be a disaster?! This is only a partial explanation though, because their response times on the phone have been getting worse at other times as well.

UPDATE- 11/28/16
I've tried twice more in the last few months (basically 1x/month) to see if the phone issues was temporary, and they're NOT. Today, there's a 30min wait just to speak to someone so I can get the test results from 2 months ago that I STILL have not received.

UPDATE - 9/20/19
This past year has been much better in terms of being able to contact the office and make appts. Hopefully their disastrous 2016 is behind them.

UPDATE - 8/2023
For the 3rd time, one of my Internists left the practice. This time, they only offered 2 internists, both female, as alternatives. Since I prefer a male internist as my primary, I'm left with NO alternative but to leave DDA. Extraordinarily frustrating to repeatedly having to replace doctors here. What is DDA doing wrong?

Highly frustrating experiences continue, driving patients away from the once outstanding pratice group. For example, my latest confirmed appointment was withdrawn only hours before it was scheduled to occur with office staff directing me to the ER or urgent care instead because the physican would not provide a telemedicine visit nor see me in person. No alternative physician or appointment method was offered - just a crisp "so would you like to cancel?" You cancelled me!!

DDA wasted time I could have spent seeking treament - instead forcing me to chase office staff for information because you a) leave voice messages containing no actionable information after hours, b) do not answer phones/respond to messages after hours even if calling moments after said voice message is left, c) have an answering service that has zero information on appointments and no mechanism to answer questions (and who openly laugh at the disfunction this causes), and d) direct patients out of the practice anyway by telling us to go to the ER or urgent care.

I've been a DDA patient for years and hate to admit the decline I've witnessed seems the status quo now. This experience is exhausting and seems like a purposefully created maze to encourage patients to find care somewhere else.
