My experiences were HORRIBLE, but at the Overland Park location. I was there on two separate occasions, so I should rightfully get to write a review for each experience, but it doesn't give me an option to write another review based on my latest experience. My first review came with a response from the owner that she had reached out to me about my concerns, but she did not. And I called 3 different times and every time I asked to speak with a patient advocate, I was put on hold and then hung up on. The owner made NO attempt to reach out. When I talked to the billing office today, I first waited for nearly 30min on hold, then was not allowed to finish the explanation of the issue before she said she had already listened and I needed to be quiet and listen. The whole issue is that no one is listening. This was a MESS!! Then when I requested to have a supervisor just call me back to discuss the issue, she denied me that right and states she's already reviewed my case and asked me what I was wanting from them. As a patient, shouldn't I have the right to speak to SOMEONE who's supposed to be in charge Diagnostic really screwed up with my case.
My OB sent orders for diagnostic tests to have in case my SCREENING MAMMOGRAM was abnormal. He told me to get the screening mammogram first. As I should! I called and scheduled my SCREENING.I was told when scheduling it would be 15min in and out. I waited an entire hour in the waiting room and got very anxious because I had a dr appt scheduled for my child that was vital to get to as well. That's when I saw them change their attitude towards me. I got my mammogram done, and the tech was very rude and told me that I should tell the admin to hire more staff then, since they were an hour behind. So I didn't leave that visit happy. They needed an US after the mammo.I wanted to stay, but I could not because of my child's appt. The tech told me to just reschedule and it would be covered. That's exactly what I did. I was hesitant to go back there after the first experience, but I needed to rule out cancer. I scheduled the follow up sono for the following week.I had already seen the order. The sono tech came out and before even meeting me, she lashed out very rudely in the middle of the waiting room saying I couldn't have it done right now because I needed a new order since I left last time before the sono was done. She wouldn't even let me talk either. I've not encountered quite this level of rude and unprofessional. She wouldn't let me get a word in. Never even greeted me.She was nasty I guess because I couldn't complete the exam at the previous visit? So Hateful!!After 2 bad experiences, I went elsewhere.I got there and they wouldn't fulfill the dr orders either as they said my mammogram last week was a diagnostic already. What?!!!! That's when I learned you all coded it as diagnostic instead of the screening I scheduled!! You do NOT have the right to override what the pt. is scheduling and consenting to!! That is FRAUD!!!
After speaking with billing today, I was appalled as she told me I don't qualify anymore for screening mammos because of my "dense breast tissue." I've confirmed with surrounding hospitals/radiologists that that is absolutely incorrect!!!
Your "protocols" need to be reevaluated. You are not treating a "protocol" or a computer screen! You are treating a HUMAN!!
And maybe try being a little nice and compassionate towards why patients are there seeking medical exams.
There is no excuse for such incompetence and fraudulent practices that have a real effect on people's lives. I can't imagine trying to convince my patients to seek their preventative care when they have to be put through such nonsense.
But I realize money talks. My screening mammogram is free with my insurance benefits, but diagnostic get higher reimbursement for you. Profits and business should not be your top priority.
Those of us willing to speak up and stand up often get labeled, but I will not be quiet when I see such an injustice done. I cannot in good conscience send any more patients here.
