Called and scheduled 2 scans to be done I was told they needed to be done 24 hours apart due to insurance. My Doctor told me that it didn’t make any sense because the scans need to be done at the same time. Called them back and they finally scheduled them for the same day. Went into my appointment to get the scans done and they told me one of them needs to be paid out of pocket….. was also asked by the tech why I would go there to get these ultrasounds done because there are other places that have better equipment , really just seemed like they did not want to do their jobs. They tried saying my orders for the scans were incorrect also and tried to call my dr office and apparently left a message that was completely non understandable according to my doctors office. The codes on the orders were correct I had to call them to confirm because these people don’t know how to correctly use a phone. Have since went to advanced imaging and they did both scans at the same time. Huge waste of my time had to miss some of work because of negligence and laziness. They would rather gossip and talk shop in the back for the entire waiting room to hear. Go to advanced imaging and or spring hill mri way more professional and up to date according to this places own staff……

I have come to this facility for YEARS for tests and imaging of all kinds and I never had a negative experience here until 1/10/25. I came for a 1st trimester transvag ultrasound. After 14 years of infertility I was supposed to see my baby for the first time.
Instead I was placed on a table with a wedge pillow at the bottom and was made to lay in the most awkward position I've ever been in for testing of any kind in my life. The woman who did the imaging was nice but stayed quiet the entirety of the visit except to tell me she was moving the wand one way or another. She never showed me let alone confirm there was an actual pregnancy. She didn't even turn the sound on when checking for the heart beat. What was supposed to be the most exciting day for myself and my fiance became a horrible experience. She wasn't even going to give me an ultrasound Pic. Nothing. I was told it's a private company and not a maternity facility. A doctor had to read the ultrasound and she couldn't say anything whatsoever and I could check with my doctor sometime NEXT WEEK.
Im a high risk pregnancy and the stress of this interaction and experience left me upset and frazzled. I was not told any of this when I made the appointment. I've had several children and NEVER had an experience like this. I left with so many mixed feelings.
I would NOT recommend going for your first scan here or any pregnancy scan of any kind with the way it's handled.
Sad and extremely disappointed.

Update: It's been a week and No results. Have tried several times through out the day for several days with no answer. Voicemail is full and can't leave message.
This place has gone straight down the toilet.

I also have this center more than a few chances to provide adequate service and they have failed every time. I used them as they were conveniently located. I have been trying to get a simple X-ray report to my doctor's office and my doctor has yet to receive it. The phone is not answered , the message box says it's full , you have to show up in person to speak with someone. I am standing there listening to the one employee having an internal task discussion with the other as I was ignored for over 10 minutes.No patients in office! Also when I had the simple X-ray completed over 3 weeks prior, I had to show up three times before there was an X-ray tech available to take the image. The third time the tech was over 15 mins late. They would not allow you to schedule an X-ray either. The mammogram machine has been either broker or not in service sporadically for a year now. I gave up on that appointment. I don't know how this place is still in business. Putting a recording and putting a sign that you are understaffed , for months now, is just not an acceptable excuse.

The absolute worst. Receptionist is unfriendly and rude. They are so incompetent, it is unbelievable. You show up for an appointment, only to find out the person who does that test is out. This is not the first time this has happened. So unprofessional, and inconsiderate of people's time, not letting the patient know ahead of the appointment. They never answer the phones, and never return calls. I would rather drive the 15 miles to Citrus diagnostic, where they are efficient and professional.

Another customer lost due to the lack of customer service and professionalism. Long story short, I had to take a day off work to get the results of my mammogram, which requires a follow up appointment, and the soonest they could get me in was January 20th!? That’s a hard NO! They said “I will have to call you to set up an appointment.” Mind you I’m there in person! That’s another hard NO! “Well, she will put you on top of the stack if papers for a call back!” Another hard ”NO!” When I got my appointment for January, I took my order and image of mammogram and made an appointment elsewhere for November! They NEVER answer call, forget the 72 hour message! Shame on them!

Brought my authorization from the doctors office but they said they needed to do their own authorization and it took a month to get approval and not because my doctor didn’t respond but due to their lack of staff. They called to set up an appt while I was at work and I’ve tried to call back on my 30 minutes lunch break for a whole week and couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone. Finally got someone and it’ll be 3 weeks before I can get an appt. Can’t seem to understand why an authorization from the doctor is important when it doesn’t get you anywhere or any appt. Use another company that has more staffing and available days for procedures.

My doctor ordered an ultrasound test done for me at sugar mill diagnostics. After the ultrasound I was told it would take two to three days to evaluate and send results to my Doctor. It’s now been 11 days so far and they don’t answer their phone when I call or when my doctor calls. I have call about 5 times with no success. My doctor’s office said they’re difficult to communicate with.
In the future I will go somewhere else and never go there again.

I gave SMDI a chance, they failed so many times. The only reason I gave 2 is because the people are nice. Rarely does the phone get answered. They don't respond in 72 hours. They don't respond to emails.

I gave a pass when they closed for hurricane debby even though it wasn't bad - they verified Friday for Monday with no heads up regarding possible closure, they didn't call the appts to cancel, they didn't even have one person run over a put a note on the door. Waited 45 minutes just in case they were running late. I drive 40 minutes needing to have a full bladder for the test and still I waited.

Resch. next appt for following week - full bladder again - 45 minutes after appt time - "equipment down from power surges the day before". My appt was 10am - why didn't they know that walking in & waiting there. Why didn't they give me a heads up. Instead just a few minutes more for 45 minutes ... And then 45 minutes to get "sorry we have to reschedule again" so Tuesday to Thursday but I need results by next Monday "will they be done?" yes or no depending on who you talk to in the office.

So I rescheduled Dr to give them time to get results. The Dr appt the following

Wednesday, almost a week later and the Dr received a REPORT that is BLANK - NO INFO aside from my name and test date.

I call, leave msgs & I'm nice on the first 2 msgs ... on the 3rd call after a week I explain that I would like to speak to a manager as to why my Dr received a blank report and why they do not communicate with patients outside the office, I was pleasant in the msg but very pointed in my stating facts.

I got a call a week later by a staff member to schedule my test (they already did the test). So I guess they don't really listen carefully when they do listen to messages. I was more than patient through this.

I'm having a medical issue and I'm brought to tears in their parking lot because they're causing so much stress because they only seem to have in person interactions - I really wanted to give them the benefit of doubt when they said don't believe the bad reviews.

Well all I can say is if your phone msg says "sorry we're short staffed" maybe hire another person instead of not responding or responding weeks later instead of 72 hours like you claim is response time. Good luck to those who can't just drop by & do your business because you don't live 5 minutes away ...
