I was very pleased by the care I received at the Palo Alto Sutter Urgent Care. It was a long wait - but I was warned. The nurses and doctors were kind, helpful, and informative. It was so great to have an issue addressed on a Saturday when the regular Palo Alto Medical Foundation is closed.

I am so grateful for the excellent care I received at Palo Alto Sutter Urgent Care on Christmas Eve morning. Everyone from the nurses, techs and especially Dr Bae were caring, professional, thorough, and efficient. Having just traveled from a place where medical care was limited and facing worsening symptoms, it was a relief to be back home and get the help I needed. I’m reminded how lucky we all are to live here with the best health care around. Many thanks to the staff for working on the holiday!

Virginia was very kind and helped me get checked in quickly. It was NYD, so all other Sutter urgent care locations were at capacity. I was lucky enough to be the last patient here. Melissa, the LVN, was also very helpful at getting my vitals and other info. Dr. Riddle was friendly and gave me several options for treatment. Overall a good experience and I appreciate the help. I prefer this location over Mountain View’s.

I returned from an international trip and felt really sick the next day. By day 2, I went to urgent care at Sutter Health in Palo Alto. I was able to schedule my visit online before heading there. Miraculously, there was no wait at all. I was seen by a male LVN (not personable at all). I was then brought into a room and was seen right away by Dr. Dylan Easley, who was terrific. He did all the necessary tests and explained the various treatment options. I was out within an hour and fully confident that I was in great hands. Highly recommend!

I was very impressed by how quickly I was seen and how professional all those who attended to my care were. They were very comforting including giving me warm blankets while I waited for the various tests that they were going to do. The lead doctor, Dr Yamata, was extremely calm and comforting and showed genuine interest in my care. In fact she got my cardiologist on the phone and they discussed a new treatment plan for my high blood pressure which was one of the reasons why I came in to urgent care. It’s only been three days that I’ve been on that new medication regimen, but I’ve seen an incredible reduction of my systolic blood pressure it. I can’t thank her enough for all her care as well as the support staff.

For the first time, ever, I was disappointed with the care at Urgent Care. I had food including apple slice stuck in my throat and couldn't swallow or bring it up myself. Instead of giving me sparkling water to help it (as I was at the Stanford ER) the young Dr. Cruz told me he couldn't do anything for me because it required a laryngoscope which they didn't have. REALLY? And the GI Dept was booked (how did he know without checking?) so after wasting 1/2 hr. at Urgent Care I went to the Stanford ER where 6 hours later it was resolved. They gave me a can of sparkling water and over time which included 2 blood draws after the nurse couldn't the needle in correctly the first time, the food dissolved and after I demonstrated that I could eat applesauce and a turkey sandwich I was discharged. Dr Cruz is obviously young and lacked the experience & gravitas to give me the reassurance that time and soda water would take care of it. He didn't even examine me. I'm sorry, but I will be very wary next time I need to go there. I'd wanted to avoid the ER and proved right because it was the 2nd busiest day they'd ever had there with 150 patients and 50 in the waiting rooms. That wasn't Dr. Cruz' fault, but I do think he should have been able to examine me with a laryngoscope; it is NOT that difficult with a bit of local anesthetic spray! I'm sure he must be a well trained young doctor or you wouldn't have hired him, but next time please let me see Dr. Grossman. She is terrific!
Many thanks,
Ann Hammond Clark, long time patient and former employee!

Our family, my husband & I & three children, have been using Sutter Health's Palo Alto Urgent Care Center for over 20 years. The doctors are well-trained, have lots of clinical experience, & strong patient-facing skills. They listen well, ask good questions, & engage in a helpful, effective fashion. I can highly recommend this clinic.

Came to urgent care the night before at 6:30 and the receptionist said they close at 8 and the wait time would be approximately 3 hours and it was not guaranteed if I will see a doctor or not. Decided to come back the following day. The estimated wait time turned out to be 3 to 4 hours. Before even seeing a doctor, they charged my card for the visit already and I haven’t even seen a specialist yet. So, if you read in reviews about people just coming in and being seen immediately is a hit or miss. It’s not always that quick to get taken care of in urgent care. So be prepared to possibly wait 3 to 4 hours just to get your vitals checked. Not see a doctor. Again, just to get your vitals checked. From here onwards, imagine how monger the wait is to see a doctor after the vitals are checked. Good luck if you need URGENT CARE.
