I've been going to Dr. Farag at Diagnostic Imaging Specialists for breast imaging since 2018. The clinic is nice and soothing, and I love that Dr. Farag immediately reads your images and discusses his findings with you right then and there - no waiting at DISoC! Last year, when I discovered a lump in my breast, DISoC got me in quickly and when the images showed a suspicious mass, Dr. Farag was direct but caring, and then he opened the clinic early the very next morning to perform my biopsies. When the results were positive, he referred me to a terrific surgeon and I've been so happy with my entire cancer care team. I now have no further need for mammograms, but would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Farag and his clinic to anyone!

I have been a patient here for the last year or two but I think this was the last visit for me. I had an ultrasound done on Monday at which time I was told by Dr Farag himself that I have a cyst in one of my breasts and that we will keep an eye on it when I come back in 6 months. Tuesday I get the report in my email, which is also sent to my doctor, which states that nothing was found (including no cysts). I called the office and ask for it to be looked into to find out why there was an inconsistency and why he didn’t document it in the report. Front desk staff called back today and said that they don’t know what the ultrasound tech told me while I was there, but the doctor told them nothing was found. The ultrasound tech made no mention of any cyst to me as they leave that for the doctor to talk to the patient about. The mention of the cyst came directly from the mouth of the doctor. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional as I now have no idea whether or not I actually have a cyst as the documentation does not match what the doctor told me verbally in office.

Diagnostic Imaging Center makes the absolute most of what can be a super stressful experience. The tranquil, spa-like atmosphere with tea and coffee in the waiting room are very calming. It’s like they considered all the most uncomfortable parts of the process and improved upon as many of the unpleasant bits as possible. All of the techs and nurses were friendly, efficient, and professional. Dr. Faraq spent a great deal of time talking with me and easing my fears and concerns.

I just left my appointment with Dr Farag and must say this was the best doctor’s office I’ve ever been to. It was clean, warm, comfortable, they had many refreshments and a relaxing, spa-like waiting room for patients. They have sonos speakers in the rooms and play great music which truly made the experience. My nurse was amazingly helpful and kind and Dr Farag himself is outstanding. He is extremely knowledgeable, pays close attention to detail and has great bedside manner. I will be a lifelong patient here! Thank you everyone.

I never do reviews, but my great experience here warrants one! Needless to say, I was nervous having to get an ultrasound. But everyone at Diagnostic Imaging Specialists eased my fears from the first call through the procedure and meeting with the doctor. They sensed my trepidation on the phone and squeezed me in the same morning, which was so appreciated! It is conveniently located and their office has a nice, calming environment. The procedure was quick and painless, and the tech and doctor had great bedside manner as well. And I loved that I had results right after the procedure. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Dr. Farag and his staff are truly outstanding. Having a mammogram or ultrasound causes anxiety, and everyone in the office does their best to make the experience as good as it can possibly be. Dr. Farag cares about what he does, and will explain to you in great detail all of your results in plain English. In a world where medicine can feel like an assembly line, this practice is the rare exception.

Have been going to this office for the past few years for my annual mammogram. The office and staff is professional, convenient, comfortable and patient. I appreciate that I can get multiple screenings done at my one visit (as I have “lumpy” breast) that always require further review and analysis outside of just the mammogram.

I went to this center at the beginning of June 2021. I went as a referral from my primary care physician to have a 3 - D breast mammogram done. When I called this place lasts year for the pricing they stipulated that all mammograms are $500.00 and any extra imaging instructed by the physician will be $100.00 each per slide of image. I decided to call in May 2021 about the pricing and the same information was given to me over the phone. One of the problems I had with this place was even though I stated that all imaging expenses will be paid by myself or out of pocket. The girl at the front desk stated we can’t accept patients that are under Medicaid by the state of IL. I wasn’t trying to use my Medicaid card but she at first denied me as a patient to come into the center. Second time I called, I decided not to even mentioned that I had Medicaid (No Insurance) and asked to pay out of pocket. When I went into the facility everyone was nice, the place looked clean and brand new. My problems came after I was serviced by the technician for my mammogram. She specifically told me if extra imaging was needed by the Doctor I will come back and get you for more images to be taken. That never happened so it was much to my surprised when I saw the final bill was $700.00. I asked the billing front desk personnel why the extra $200.00 charged to my account!! She stated that extra imaging was done and I didn’t realize until I got home that this was a lie. Imaging was done on the whole circumference of my breast like all my mammograms have been done in the pasts and the technician stated if we needed more, we will let you know and this didn’t happen. I was told that I could schedule a ultrasound at a later date and when someone from their office called about the scheduling of the ultrasound I decided to voice my complaint to the Office Manager in charged apologized and told me a refund will be given for the $200.00 but that refund was never sent. So this place is nice and service was also nice but the rests is up from grabs if you ask me and next time I will just go somewhere else.

YES, U DID REFUND ME THE MONEY BUT ONLY AFTER I FILED A COMPLAINT FIRST SMART A@@@ AND USPS DECIDED TO FINALLY DELIVER THE CHECK THREE WEEKS LATER. THE OFFICE MANAGER SENT THE CHECK OUT IMMEDIATELY BUT USPS WAS PAID NOT TO DELIVER THE CHECK TO MY DOORSTEP UNTIL THREE WEEKS FROM THE TIME CHECK WAS SENT OUT IN THE MAILBOX BY THE OFFICE MANAGER - MARISOL.
