Dr Calonje is the best. I went to him and now I have brought my mother to him as well. He is one of the best specialists in urology and gynecology. Very experienced and kind doctor. But I also want to mention Arlene, his assistant. I've seen her in Hoffman Estates location and now here. She is the sweetest, and she is such a helpful lady. Beautiful energy, knows how to do her work well and quickly get the patient through their appointments. This location is farely new, it's quiet. They quickly called us in after we checked in. Very efficient.

Dr. Calonje is a very well-educated and very caring doctor. He did my laproscopy and cystoscopy, which confirmed a diagnosis of endometriosis. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a urogynecologist.

I’ve been going here for over 5 years. Yes he can run late yes they are busy. But he’s worth the wait. Promise you he will be there and give you all the time you need. This man saved my life during surgery. I’ll never complain again if he runs late. He was with me until 3am to make sure I was okay. His whole office is wonderful. Nicole the nurse practitioner is amazing as well. I’m a difficult patient with a lot of health issues and he advocates for me too. I have a bladder condition so I’m there every one to two weeks. So he’s basically family now lol. ❤️

I have worked in the medical field for 20 years. I have worked with plenty of doctors of different specialties (in different states) as well as been a patient to many. And DR. CALONJE is top tier of the best!!! He delivered my youngest daughter (a high risk pregnancy) on June 9, 2006; almost 17 years ago. I remained his patient after my daughter's delivery. And no matter where we live in the Chicago metro area, I travel to wherever he is located!! Now almost 18 years later he remains the same caring, humble, gentle, & superbly educated physician!! He has always made sure you understood what's going on with your body and provided great level minded educated understanding and details. His staff has always been great also. His Nurse Practitioner Nicole Rodriguez feels more like my friend than a provider. She is the dynamic dual to Dr. Calonje. Smart, educated, caring, & humble!! I highly recommend this practice!!

Dr. Calonje is a good Dr that knows what he’s doing and I’ll give him that. I’ve known him for about 17 years because he was my sisters ob and delivered my niece and nephew, he was always so nice and compassionate to her and the babies.

Because of this, in 2015-2016 I went to see him for symptoms that he immediately blamed on my weight. He basically shamed me for being overweight and did not try to hide that fact that he was disgusted by me tbh. Didn’t even run labs. I have recently been diagnosed by another Dr with PCOS since the symptoms continued even after 100 lb weight loss.

In 2020 I had to have an ovarian cyst removed from my right ovary and he was the surgeon I was referred to. When the anesthesiologist and him came to talk to me before surgery, I started to ask him if they could remove the entire ovary since it was causing me constant pain.
He interrupted me mid sentence and said “No we cannot remove any fat” and the anesthesiologist and him thought it was the funniest thing. I did not. Surgery did go well and incisions healed fine.

Fat-phobia is a real thing in health care, and he falls into this category. if you’re overweight and are actually looking for someone to listen to you, I wouldn’t recommend as I’ve witnessed 2 version of him. I now feel these types of reviews are not left enough and are important when you are sick and looking for help and not dismissed , which is why I’m leaving this 2 years later.

Dr Calonje is the kindest, most caring doctor I have ever seen. He explains everything and makes sure all questions are answered, never making you feel rushed. He is a wonderful surgeon and all doctors should take a lesson from his bedside manner. Staff is equally as kind! Highly recommend!
