I brought my 8 year old son into the Urgent Care office in Rockville Center, NY on Jan 8 where he tested positive for influenza. He was prescribed medication for influenza. A day later, my 3 year son started to exhibit similar flu like symptoms. After speaking to a friend who is a doctor, she alerted me that the office should have prescribed medication to my whole family in my home. I was not given this option or recommendation by the PA or nurse. I called the office this morning to explain the situation and the attendant who answered had very little understanding or empathy for the situation I expressed to her. More than poor customer service. She basically told me that if I don’t ask for it then I don’t get it, she told me “Not everybody wants it”. I explained to her the recommendation or option was never presented to me and I had to speak other experts to learn this was an option. I am extremely disturbed about this. I called the corporate office as well to complain. Now I have to tend to two children suffering from the flu when the effects or symptoms could have been subsided sooner if the proper recommendations were given to me.

I made an appointment in the morning and my wait at the Center was only about 15 minutes. The staff were professional and the examination was thorough. I was diagnosed and prescribed medication. My symptom (high fever) was gone in several days. My cough and fatigue have lingered but are improving. Notes from my visit were sent to my primary doctor upon my request. I believe I received excellent care at the Rockville Urgent Care Center.

The providers are the nicest, kindest, and most professional I have ever met in the field of medicine. Due to bad experiences at doctors offices elsewhere in the past, I was hesitant to go here when needed. However, the providers here are so professional, respectful and attentive that I had a wonderful experience, and my view on medicine has changed.

My husband went in for blood draw and BP check. When BP elevated both lab tech and PA concerned and validated we needed to contact cardiologist to switch his meds. We were shocked when PA called later in day to check on him! Above and beyond in patient care. Nicest most efficient urgent care!!!

Check in for a 2:30 appt took a long time. Doctor visit good, however one day after visit I got a telephone call changing the prescriptions originally ordered. Confusing to me.

I was asked on a survey, “Tell us what you liked best about your visit.”
Oh my! What is not to like! I was acknowledged by the young man at the desk (while he was helping another patient). He helped to register me. I found out later when I said pneumonia, he stayed after his finishing shift to take my chest X-ray. Outstanding technician!
Then I was greeted by the friendly nurse for vitals and COVID and flu tests. She was very understanding.
Then I was seen by Dr. R. Maitland, who reviewed all the results with me. X-ray and two tests negative. She saw I was getting nervous because nothing was positive. She assured me they will figure it out. To ease my discomfort, she put me on a nebulizer which helped a little. Dr. R. Entered three prescriptions for me and told me all should help but come back if not.
This RVC office is the most friendly, caring, thorough, efficient office I have ever been to. I felt very well cared for. Thank you Northwell and your wonderful team!

I went because my ears were clogged. I was seen quickly. The doctor introduced himself used the hand sanitizer and did a great job in removing the clog from ny ear. Here’s the reason for the four and not five stars. The place was very very dirty. The assistant’s badge was not visible then I realized that her badge was at her hip. She also did not introduce herself. She came in with gloves on but since she used her hand to open the door I asked her to please remove them and wash her hands. Thanks

It is not always a pleasant experience going into an Urgent Care facility. However, this past weekend I went to the GOHealth in Rockville Centre. I actually felt like someone cared about my issue. They listened and gave me assuring feedback. Kudos to Isabelle and Dr. Cindy!!!
