NOT THE SAME AS IT USED TO BE. Ten years ago when I first came to this clinic it was all about the patients. There were cooking classes, shares available from farmers markets, art classes-all sorts of programs benefiting the majority low-income demographic. They’ve pretty much done away with all of that. And the providers have turned over. Where there once were providers that worked with you collaboratively on your healthcare-trusting you knew your body better than anyone-who would listen to you and want your opinion on the treatment plan and goals-they now seem to have a power trip. They don’t ASK you what you think-they tell you. It’s almost impossible to get an appointment the same day/week. If you need to reach your provider they tell you to MyChart message them and when you do, their response is:please schedule an appointment to discuss this further. Unfortunately, and I heard this from my long term provider who finally got fed-up and left-Richmond puts PROFIT OVER PATIENTS. You can’t get a call back, they leave you on hold indefinitely, they don’t listen to you about what YOU need/want-it went from a warm, welcoming place of healing to a cold, “move them in move them out” patient warehouse. Just because you’re low-income doesn’t mean you should have to settle for being treated like you’re less than. Just because you’re a pain patient or an addict or whatever else they seem to have an issue with-shouldn’t preclude you from getting the same care as everyone else.

my PCP has been so sweet and takes amazing care of me. i feel like she is the only doctor i have had that listens to me and actually wants to help me!

the staff here are very kind and friendly, they have been nothing but nice to me everytime i visited.

they have amazing communication and always are able to get back to me, the only doctor's office i would trust in Portland

I was going to be a new patient at their clinic. I am disabled and have a lot of medical conditions that need attention. I have been waiting for months to see Dr. Frank and they canceled on me last minute. Then they tell me that the Soonest appointment they have is not until August. This is very unprofessional of this clinic and I would not recommend anyone to go here for future reference. Good luck….

(EDIT: The following review has NOTHING to do with the staff — who are truly wonderful, earnest, hard-working people. They will each do their best to provide the highest quality care they can, using the tools they have available. Don't fault them, feel for them. Blame the institution, not your fellow humans. ‍♂️?)

Absolutely underfunded and understaffed, to say nothing of the quality of on-going care: you're unlikely to see the same medical professional as this location seems to be the real-world practice lab for students. Also, the pharmacy, while conveniently located for some, seems wholly incapable of filling multiple prescriptions on the same schedule, so plan on making multiple trips each month to hear their latest excuse.

I’m starting not to like this clinic, they had me waste my time by setting up an appointment. Be there for an hour just to tell me that they couldn’t do lead testing there, That I needed to go to The hospital on the hill

Took me 3 months to get an appointment at Richmond Clinic. Seen my general practitioner once, told me to schedule a follow-up for 2 weeks later, tried scheduling and she's booked out another 2 months. In the meantime I had to go to the ER where I was diagnosed with GERD and found out I had non alcohol fatty liver. I scheduled a follow up with another provider who let me tell you...the most unprofessional, rude, uncompassionate, non caring doctor I've ever encountered. This lady before even seeing me was outside the office door gossiping to the nurse about me, making fun of my symptoms and judging me before she met me. Upon coming in the office, she was just as rude! When I told her I was just diagnosed with NAFLD her response was "so what" it's not cirrhosis. I can go on and on about how horrible she was. She wrote things in my chart that wasn't true. Treated me like I was so beneath her and like I was annoying her for asking questions.
My assigned general practitioner won't message back, won't call back, won't give me an emergency visit.
This clinic minimizes your symptoms and doesn't care how sick you are. They're solution is just prescribe more meds! Who cares the side effects. There's so much more I want to say...
I advise going anywhere but here.

I can’t tell you how many bad experiences I have had at this facility. Unfortunately, I can’t find any PCPs who take my insurance that are accepting new patients. I have waited anywhere from 30 min-1hr after my scheduled appointment. When I expressed my frustration, I was told I could leave and not accept care. I’ve tried to have an IUD placed and was pressured into not getting the IUD I wanted, resulting in me not getting my IUD placed the day I went in. I have been accused of “cheating the system” by trying to pick up my Retin A prescription at their pharmacy for the price I purchased that same product at Fred Meyer. And finally, I arrived 10 min late to my last minute appointment today and was told the provider would not see me because I was too late.I just-really don’t feel cared for here. The staff might be burnt out, but the quality of care and basic customer service is seriously lacking. I wish I could find another PCP so I would not have to come here anymore.

These dr don’t know anything I had an appointment over a sinus infection and the dr told me she needed to read up on that. I’m no Dr and I know what a sinus infection is. After being sick 3 weeks of being sick I finally made an appointment and was told to drink water sleep and take NyQuil and schedule another appointment in a week. So they wanted me to be sick a whole other week instead of starting me on antibiotics. And guess what still sick. Messaged the Dr and told them I need antibiotics and was told I would need to schedule another appointment even though I just had one last Friday and should have been scheduled then. My son also has been sick before and was sick coughing for 4 months and I kept getting told he would get better and get sent home. It wasn’t till I went to another clinic and got chest x-rays that they took it serious told en he had asthma and needed an inhaler which still didn’t help his sickness I had to take him elsewhere and they said he had bronchioliitus (baby bronchitis.) this place doesn’t care about their patients. And I’m constantly getting billed even though my insurance is fully covered. Which makes me wonder if that’s why then keep having you come back to make money off you. I will be looking for other care.
