While the people were kind, especially the medical records persons and the techs who put up with me freaking out, I was disappointed that I was not allowed to wear my homemade 100% cotton totally not metal bra. I am a sexual assault survivor and I do not take off my bras or underwear for anyone. This is a “company policy”
and not an MRI requirement, as I have had plenty of MRI’s with my no-metal bra on. If I had been told this in advance I would have found another facility or had a doctor’s note written for a reasonable accommodation. As result of having to remove my bra, I had a panic attack and cried the whole time, so my images will be blurry. I *did* keep my undies on because it was c-spine and brain MRI so my lower half isn’t even in the machine. If I’d had to remove those I’d have been in a fetal position real fast. It was not a good experience all in all, but I am grateful for the kindness and patience I was shown by staff (even if they seemed more concerned about me crying in front of other patients than they did about the part where I was crying).

I've been here for two MRIs and am always treated, by all staff, with kindness, compassion, dignity and respect. They truly go above and beyond with their care. Scheduling was very easy and the scheduler was very kind and professional with me.

They have this automated service now when you call in where it tells you how many callers are in front of you so you're not wondering how long you'll have to wait. If it is a long wait, it's because they are super busy. If that happens, I just turn on some nice music, T.V., or work on a crossword while waiting. It's really no big deal for me as it is for some of the reviewers here. I just make the best of it. Time are tough for everyone, and there is no need to take your own impatience out on the staff.
I have only had 100% positive experiences with this Diagnostic Center. I had another MRI today and just couldn't be happier with every one I spoke with. Thank you, guys. I only get out once a month unless I have an appointment that my brother can drive me to, so thank you for making it such a pleasant experience for me. I wish the world were more like all of your staff <3

Scheduling is very difficult. My provider faxed a referral 3 times and I persoanlly did once. When I called to schedule, they said they never received any of the 4 faxes (I confirmed the fax #) and in the meantime my authorization expired. If faxing is their preferred method of receiving referaals from providers, they need to do a better job managing that process. It is extremely frustrating. In addition, they can't seem to update my insurance in their system despite me giving them a physical card to copy and all the details over the phone. I am disappointed that such a high demand, high tech medical provider can't seem to keep up with basic software updates.

As noted in most other posts, making an appointment is a lousy experience. 50 minute hold time, then couldn't find the referral. Got to repeat the process again the next day. The MRI itself was fine. Nice tech. After Medicare and my secondary made all payments, noting I had no further responsibility, I received a text message from the physicians billing office. No written bill, just a text message. Thinking this might be a "fishing" site, I tried to go directly to their web site. Norton suggests it is a "malicious site." Tried to phone directly to talk to an "agent", but was asked for a series of identifiers that again seem like an identity theft operation.

A friend of mine opened this operation years ago. It has changed. I would avoid it if at all possible.

Absolutely horrible I have been coming to slo diagnostics for 10 yrs at least. Spoke with Hailey and she was so unprofessional and rude and short I was asking her to please explain to me the reasoning for a certain appointment that she was changing and that I needed. She wouldn’t even allow me to ask my questions she would cut me off as I was asking my questions. I was then transferred to another person who then scheduled my needs without needing to change my doctors orders. But I still feel I need to go somewhere else.

The staff is great. The techs are great. BUT! The ability to make an appt in a timely fashion still for remains unacceptable. If you are calling to make an appt be prepared to be on hold for a long, long time. News flash for Dignity Health,
( today I was caller #4), and number of callers ahead if you does not work...every single time I've called to make an appt over the last year? Been on hold for well over a half hour. My sister was on hold for almost an hour two weeks ago. Your cost savings attempt is not cool. You're a medical facility. People needing medical tests should not have to go thru such just to get an appointment. Hire some staff.

I have had many mammograms over the years, but the one I had yesterday at San Luis Diagnostics was by far the most painful. I felt a sharp pain where the breast meets the torso on both sides on the straight image. The more lateral image on the left side hurt so much that I remarked about the pain to the tech. I was still in pain after leaving the facility. It was not until I took my shower that night that I realized I have a visible injury from the machine. I took a photo to email to the facility, but they do not privileged am email address on the website. I hope they check their reviews.

Answer your phone! I've tried multiple times and have just hung out on hold for an hour despite being "caller number 6". This is ridiculous.
