I scheduled an appointment for imaging services which was advertised at $156. I later received a bill via text for $529 in addition to the $156 I already paid. When I went to the bill payment link it stated if I paid $264.50 at that moment the rest of the balance would be considered to be zero owed. So I paid the $264.50. Now 6 weeks later I’m being billed via text for another $529. When I went to the website and logged into my account it even shows my previous payment and that they reversed it? Which of course they didn’t because the charge is on my credit card. Something is very wrong with this whole scam of an operation. DO NOT EVER USE EL CAMINO / SILICON VALLEY DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING. You are better off going almost anywhere else.

Same thing as other people reported! They sent me a bill of $400+ at first, without billing my insurance. Then after a month or two, they figured my insurance and sent me a bill of $50+. I paid it. Then later they started to send me the $400 bill again! No way to reach them through phone. I guess I'll need to wait for collections to reach me? What a joke!

I agree with others who have rated this “business.” What kind of business does billing via text messaging, especially if no paper bill has been sent? There are so many scams out there, so no way will I follow an obscure link that may or may not be legit.

PLEASE BEWARE OF Silicon Valley Diagnostics who is really El Camino Hospital; so instead of being billed as an imaging facility as their name implies, THEY CHARGE YOU AS A HOSPITAL!! They don’t even deserve a single star because they are a deceitful organization who mislead patients and grossly overcharge them!! Make sure if you need imaging that you go to an actual imaging facility that is not connected to a hospital in any way.

Why El Camino Hospital does business with this outfit makes zero sense. An advertised flat fee charge for a radiology scan paid at the time of service directly to the hospital has turned into a nightmare of "surprise billing" from a company I never heard of, but claims that I owned them over $500 to read a scan done at El Camino. No email, just an obscure text message that at first looked like spam. Turns out, the little flat fee wasn't so little as SVDI came around the backend with this huge extra noncontracted charge. To date, this bill is still outstanding in spite of communications with the hospital. El Camino should drop this company as no one needs this kind of unethical hassle when trying to receive medical care.

The service is OK technically, but the billing incompetence makes it not worth using this provider. They made clerical errors in billing insurance, billed the wrong insurance, and then aggressively pursued bill collection. I could see they hadn't billed my insurance for months and they sent me to debt collection. Their "system" for communicating with them and updating insurance information only allows you to pay the bill, not actually update any information.

I disputed the creditor as it was showing negative in my credit score. I explained to the creditor I never received a bill and, of course, they claim I was going to pay them still...uh no.
Silicon Valley Diagnostics during a call tried to claim they sent me a letter and texts, none of which I received. Multiple calls to their billing company and my insurance in regards to my services, with no avail. I finally got connected to their "escalations" department. They were still not able to produce a bill for they never even filed a claim with my insurance. How can you send a bill to a patient without first sending a bill to their insurance. I had multiple services conducted that day at El Camino and they all processed my paperwork correctly.
If you do not bill the same as the hospital then your people at the front desk should explain this. The whole company needs some kind of customer service training and billing coaching. I do not understand how so many people complain and a company still continues to exist.
