Like so many other customers/patients at this office have stated, since the Eyecare Group got purchased by Triangle Visions, customer service has deteriorated and I will not continue doing business there. The receptionist is the worst, she acts like a gatekeeper, and makes it difficult to talk to the opticians.
She gives the impression of "what do you want?" and makes sure you know they close at 12 for lunch and you might want come back after lunch. The rudest receptionist ever. I'm glad I'm moving out-of-state and won't be doing business here again.

I have been going to this office for 26 years and I have never missed an appointment. I showed up for an appointment on Thursday 9/12/24 at 4pm. I traveled 30 min just to show up and be told that my appointment was canceled by the office. I inquired about why my appointment was canceled and was told that I did not confirm the appointment so it was canceled. I was also told that they were owned by a new company and that this was a new policy. This frustrated me because I had taken off of work and also traveled so far. I called Triangle Visions Optometry who is their owner and told them what happened and also asked about their protocol before canceling a patient's appointment. I was told that they (TVO) calls 5 days in advance to confirm (I did receive this call and message while I was at work), then there is a 8-16 hour text or email reminder (which I never received), and then a final call from the actual office (The Eye Care Group) the day before (which I never received). I then called the office back to inform them of the information I had received from TVO. I was told by the front desk staff that phone records can be reviewed in order to find out if I was actually called the day before. Here it is Monday afternoon and no one has contacted me with that information. I still don't have an appointment due to my employer needing a 4 week notice. I have worked in Healthcare for 12 years and I have never cancelled an appointment just because the patient did not answer the phone. I really hope someone in management sees this and changes the protocol because it is inconsiderate and does not serve the patient at all. Thanks

What happened to this group. It was great and I tried to schedule an appointment. I was told it will be 2-3 months to get an appointment. I was on hold before anyone ever answered the phone. I stated I was happy to set an appointment that fair out but what am I to do before then.

While I and my family had been going to The Eyecare Group (at High Point) for over 10 years now, I have to sadly report that I will no longer be using their services. It is unfortunate since I got to know my doctor, Dr. Kowal very well and he had taken very good care of us. The reason for this is that most recently the appointment for my annual eye exam was abruptly cancelled. I was scheduled a Monday 2:30 pm appointment (that was due after about three months of my making the call to set up the appointment) and then I was left voicemails from their office on the preceding Friday afternoon that my (Monday) appointment will be cancelled if I do not call them back. I had not checked my calls on Friday due to other more important obligations, hence I had left a message on Saturday when I had heard the voicemails. However, when I called them back Monday morning to confirm my appointment, I was told that my appointment has been cancelled. My experience seems to be similar to some of the recent reviews. I have a feeling that they are not willing to provide services any longer, so I will have to take my business elsewhere.

Sad to post this review as I have been a patient of Dr. Daughtry since we moved here in 2015. Unfortunately I can no longer recommend. Since they were bought out, their customer service is horrible and their willingness to work with their clients to provide needed services is non existent.

Do your self a favor and go somewhere else. I've been a customer at the HP location for about 15 years. They've always had great customer service and been easy to work with. At some point recently, they were bought or merged with a company called Triangle Visions. As a senior customer support rep for Apple for the last ten years, I can honestly say Triangle Visions customer service is objectively some of the worst I've ever experienced. Long hold times, reps not knowing what office you go to, reps making appts at wrong locations, extreme wait times for basic appointments. I tried to switch optometrists and I will, but they even made that a hassle.
