This is a GREAT piece of new kit, and has allowed me to sail in a very light 10 knot breeze, but then up to 25 knots on a 7.8m sail, without getting smashed at all. We have been having very fickle winds in New Zealand recently: 10 to 25 and back to 10 knots, all in a few minutes, so what sail do you rig?

My friends just give up due to the wrong sail choice, but I can just keep powering along with more downhaul, and then release when the wind drops again.
Expands the wind range of any given sail hugely!

As the extension I ordered is used with SDM and RDM masts, there are a few extra pieces in the kit. To keep them all together in 1 place, I made up a bag, which also provides protection when not in use. It would be good if this could eventually be an option to purchase, as it was hard to make on "mum's" old sewing machine.

A quality piece of engineering, and these guys have done well to get it onto the market.
It also has that "very cool" factor, as it is the only one in my country at the moment!

The Extension really works great, has a lot of power and shows an effect of a couple cm back and forth from the loose leach orientation marks.
It really is a fine tuning option on the fly for your already well tuned sail!

Delivery took a while, since the guys assemble everything themselves – but it will arrive and is built of excellent quality.

Best of all, if you have questions, you talk to the experts directly. Wim has been really quick and service orientated in his replies. Thanks a lot!!!

I have over the last three months been testing the X-Extension. The electric mast extension that allows you to adjust your downhaul while sailing. I have to say that I had never thought That this is something I would need. I have been sailing for over forty years and have seen all the innovations and fashions come and go over and to be totally honest the very first time on the water (due to my own stupidity) I did not enjoy the experience. I had positioned the control switches in the wrong place on the boom, I didn’t know where the downhaul was set before I left the Beach and the wind was gusting and inconsistent. However, when I ironed out these seemingly small details I had a true moment where it came together. I was sailing a 7.8 servers on an isonic 122 in 18-24 knots and a rolling 1.5 m sea state. Having the ability to reduce the power on the way out so as to control taking the waves and not feeling you were going to be catapulted and then having the ability to maximise the power on the way in the increase the speed coming down The waves, was an inspirational experience.
Now it is my only extension that I have for both RDM and SDM masts, the quality is better than any of my other extensions by a long way, and most importantly, my enjoyment of the sailing experience has increased massively in a way I didn’t know existed. It is, simply put, a gearbox for your sail.

I recently bought a Triple D Innovations mast extension after watching a video by Surferkasper T on YouTube. I've used it about a dozen times so far with various boards and sail sizes. I'm hooked and haven't used my manual carbon extensions since! I find that with an occasional on-the-fly adjustment I can get planing much quicker. I can also increase my time on the water as conditions change without frequent stops to re-trim my sail or going in to rig a different sail. Congratulations on creating such an excellent high-quality product! I found that customer service is also excellent, as I had a few questions regarding the BattAir app and regarding maintenance - which were promptly and thoroughly answered. Can't wait to use it in a long distance race!

E-Xtension is very enjoyable and necessary
for my purposes in recreational inland windfoiling. I have used it with my
bigger one sail (9,5 m2) and it worked perfect. I can not imagine, how I would
manage without this E-Xtension anymore with my windfoil equipment . I
can only advise others to use this invention, if some additional
gramms are not so critical (normally are not).

I used the Triple D Innovations Mast extension for 5 months in Tarifa on my waveboards (115L-93L). The wind is there very most of the time gusty. On the beach less wind and further away stronger. When you see the gusts coming you put the button (A ) to increase the downhaul and when necessary you decrease it easily with the B button. You can stay on the water for more hours without (de)rigging your sail for the wind conditions because you can do it ON THE WATER. Also I was more planing then other windsurfers with the same sailsize. They don't understand how it was possible........the solution is the Electric Mastextension. TDI gives good feedback for the right use and they are helpful when you have questions or replace the transmitter on the boom. The extentions is about 400 gram heavier than not electric ones but you don't notice that with windsurfing. I was with my 110 kg almost the first one who was planing!!! Bonjour à tous, je voulais à nouveau vous donner mon ressenti sur l'utilisation de ma rallonge électrique. Tout simplement je n'utilise plus que cette rallonge, même dans des conditions de navigation en vagues. C'est tellement appréciable et agréable de pouvoir augmenter où diminuer la puissance de la voile sans faire d'effort, que je n'imagine même plus de reprendre une rallonge classique. En ce qui concerne l'entretien, aucune crainte à avoir, il suffit d'être soigneux et un bon rinçage après chaque navigation, et une fois toutes les 5 où 6 sorties une dépose des accessoires pour vérifier les bons contacts, un peu de graisse sur les joints d'étanchéité et tout vas bien . Encore merci à Triple D innovation (WIM et DAVID) pour cette merveilleuse invention.
